We do not just work "in a country"; we work across the globe. Our strength lies in our diversity. A Clinical Research Associate (CRA) in Warsaw might spot a risk that a Data Manager in Cape Town missed. However, bringing different cultures together requires effort. What is considered "direct feedback" in one culture might be seen as "rudeness" in another. What is a "joke" in one office might be "harassment" in another. The "Company Interest": Discrimination and harassment create legal liability and toxicity. But more importantly, they silence people. If you are afraid of being mocked or harassed, you will not speak up about study risks. Silence kills science.
